What is Klout? Klout measures influence online. When you create content or engage, you impact others. Klout analyzes that impact to find your Klout Score, influential topics and your influencers. Klout is the standard for influence.
What is the Klout Score? The Klout Score measures influence on a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 being the most influential. Klout uses data from social networks in order to measure:
What is influence? Influence is the ability to drive action. It happens in real-time and in a given topic. You influence others when you convince your friends to go see a movie, share your favorite YouTube video, or start a discussion about the upcoming election.
True Reach: Your True Reach is the number of people you influence.
Amplification: Your Amplification is how much you influence people. When you post a message, how many people respond to it or share it online? When people respond or share your content you have a high Amplification score.
Network Impact: Your Network indicates the influence of the people in your True Reach. How often do top Influencers share and respond to your content? When they do so, they are increasing your Network score.
5 Easy Steps On How To Give Klout
- Log into Klout with your Twitter or Facebook account.
- Search for a user or brand you would like to give Klout to.
- On the left hand side of someones profile page you will see a list. Click on "topics".
- Look through the list of topics to see how they influence others online.
- Choose how they influence you. Click Give +K. A window will appear telling you that you successfully gave that person +K. Now you can either Tweet or Share on FB that you did so. I recommend tweeting as it will notify the person in a tweet that you gave them Klout and it's easy for them to return some Klout your way.

What are Klout Perks? Klout Perks are exclusive products or experiences you earn based on your Klout. Perks enable brands to connect with influencers in their area of expertise. As an influencer, you get first access to Perks you can share with your friends and audience.
Why do brands want to give me free stuff? As an influencer, you are the type of person that your friends look to when choosing what movie to see or what laptop to buy. The brands we work with are confident in the quality of their products and they'd like you to try it to see for yourself.
How do you choose who gets Perks? Perks are distributed to select influencers based on their topics of authority, location and score. If you influence your friends on the topics that you care about, then chances are high that a company in that industry wants your opinion. We work with those companies to get Perks to the right people.
Make sure you check out the Perks section regularly. Some do go pretty quick. Perks are available to everyone, not just people with high scores. We care about the topics that you're interested and influential in. You have no obligation to talk about the product. You're
